Ingredients:
- 21 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter (softened)
- 100grams Granulated Sugar
- 100grams Brown Sugar *packed*
- 2 Small Duck Eggs OR 2 Regular Chicken Eggs *duck eggs are EXCEPTIONAL in baking*
- 1.5 Cup Sourdough Starter *mine is usually a fed discard but typically you use a unfed starter for these*
- 1.5 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
- 3 Cups or 250grams All-Purpose Flour *i use king arthur all purpose flour*
- 1.5 teaspoon Sea Salt
- 1.5 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 3 Cups Milk Chocolate Chips *or what ever chocolate chips you like*
Instructions:
- In a large bowl combine the butter, and both kinds of sugar. Mix by hand. *make sure the butter is soft enough to do this!*
- Add in the eggs and stir till mixed together
- Stir in the Sour Dough Starter & Vanilla Extract
- Add Flour, Salt and Baking Soda. BE CAREFUL NOT TO OVER MIX!
- Add in Chocolate Chips and fold them in to incorporate them.
- Preheat oven for 350 F. while that preheats cover your dough to let it rest till that is done preheating.
- When ready to bake. Line baking sheet with parchment paper. Drop 2-3 tablespoon sized dough on the baking sheet. Be careful not to over crowd.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or till the edges are nice and golden brown. Everyone’s oven baking times can vary. Sometimes i have to bake for 15 just depending on size of dough balls and if they are getting golden or not.
